Site
The Josaphat site occupies a special place in the city: it is a large, slightly hidden open space, protected by its embankments, which is ignored by the surrounding districts.
These neighbouring districts are full of resources that will serve to embed the new district in urban life, including shops, facilities and public transport. At the same time, the available space and the new district that will be built will themselves offer new resources to people living in the surrounding districts, such as green spaces, facilities which are currently lacking, and possibilities for interconnection between different modes of transport.
Josaphat is a vast open space, but it is far from being unoccupied. It is an active land reserve. Companies and sports clubs occupy the accessible part of the site, while organisations of all types frequent the site on a daily basis.
